Ciello Rosso Nero d’Avola Sicily


Low sulphur Nero d'Avola, certified organic red wine: classic flavours of dark almost roasted fruits – think black cherries and red and dark plums. There’s some liquorice and then the finish hints at coffee and bitter chocolate. Only tiny amount of sulphur added before bottling, so you get this red wine as natural as possible.

Food match: Sausages, pasta or mushroom dishes

Certified organic by BioAgriCert, 14% abv, suitable for vegetarians, low sulphur natural red wine.

Producer story: Cantine Rallo have been involved in the production of wine since 1860, with the founder of the cellars originally producing Marsala wine. The Vesco family took over the business in the late 1990s and have since revolutionised the viticultural practices and invested heavily in cutting edge technology for the winery and bottling line.

The climate is characterised by extreme changes between day and night and between seasons

Organically-farmed 15-year-old vines planted in sandy soils, at a height of 150-350 metres above sea level, facing South and South-East.
