Whisky Fig Chocolate Walnut Cake

For a decadent, rich and festive winter cake, this gluten recipe combines flavours of whisky, figs, walnuts, chocolate and crystallised ginger, that, even when just imagined, conjure up images of cold nights by the crackling fire and memories of Christmas' past, feeling too full after lavish dinners and ending the evening with a glass of something only the adult's are allowed. However, whilst imagination is, of course, a wonderful thing, I'd seriously recommend baking the real deal.
