A Celebration of English Drinks

In order to celebrate St George's Day on 23rd April 2016, we thought we would take a drink! English drinks of course! Here is a small round up of six of the best!

To start with we have some gin, a beverage popular with the English! This is Sipsmiths, hand crafted, small batch sloe gin. Sipsmiths brought gin distilling back to London, the first for some 200 years. We'll drink to that! We also like our cider and these ones are from Polgoon in Cornwall. A mixed case will include their pear, apple and berry ciders. They are all hand crafted on their orchard using artisan methods. English wine is now very much on the map and we have featured this one from the Bolney Estate in Sussex. Called Briar Rose, it's a delicate pale pink and has hints of raspberry and vanilla.

We couldn't not mention beer in our feature of English drinks and so we bring you Flavourly, it's actually a subscription service for craft beers and they are offering at the moment, 4 craft beers for £4. Bargain! Of course, we are also partial to a cup of tea and so have included this Flowers of Liberty English Breakfast tea and a tea that is actually grown in England too, which is from the Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall. Brilliant!

Happy St George's Day!
