Seafood Week 7th - 14th October 2016

The 7th to the 14th of October marks National Seafood Week. Seafood Week is an annual campaign initiative set up by Seafish, to encourage more people to eat more seafood. Seafish is a public body established by the Fisheries Act 1981 to raise efficiency and raise standards across the seafood industry. Their mission is to support a profitable but sustainable and socially responsible future. In celebration of Seafood Week, the consumer site of Seafish, has set up an 8 day menu using seafood, a What's on Calendar highlighting events and special offers, competitions and more.

Here at FOOD et al, we fully support a sustainable and environmentally friendly fishing industry and to do our bit to celebrate, are highlighting a number of smaller fisheries/fish mongers who have the same principles. Check them out and cook some delicious seafood!
