Seaweed Food and Drink

Dubbed the superfood of the sea. It is easy to see why seaweed based products are on the increase.

The attributes of seaweed are well documented and may even contribute to weight loss as evidenced by Jamie Oliver recently, calling it 'the most nutritious vegetable in the world.' It is thus becoming very much a food trend.

Seaweed is rich in iodine which is used by your thyroid gland to regulate metabolism which in turn means fat burning efficiency. It is also high in iron and Vitamin C as well as being high in fibre. It is no surprise therefore that they are appealing to the health conscience, to slimmers and to the vegan market.

There are so many products available too, from crispy snacks to pasta and salt and salad and even gin! Cin cin!!
